The Brahman Cattle
These are cattle that come from a mix of four principal breeds: The Bos indicus of Guzerat, Nellore, Krishna valley, and Gir (Texas, USA)
In the Philippines, Brahman and it’s derivatives is recommended because of adaptability under local conditions. (Heat tolerance and resistance against pest & diseases).
A special kind of hybrid napier grass from Thailand was planted inside Hacienda Verde capable of feeding 50 cattle per hectare of grass for 12 months. Our 15 year super Napier project will plant 120 hectares of hybrid super napier capable of feeding our own cattle and supplying food for nearby cattle ranch.
Aside from being a high yielder, the Super Napier is claimed to contain 16-18 percent crude protein, which is considered very high. This is very important, especially for dairy animals that have to be nourished adequately in order to produce more milk.
